Looks like you're giving him plenty of love getting him out there as much as the pics show and he's repaying you nicely! Great shots - and you're right - tough to beat hunting over a pointing dog!

She's from Michigan - Red Radiance's Bonus Point a.k.a. - Csilla - (pronounced Chee-la). I do believe that I might have met Kati briefly as a pup a few years back! Very sweet girl - would love to see her in action huntin' 'em up!
All reddog owners are somehow related!

Hey man, how are you and that orange girl doing? Man, is she ever stretched out on point in that pic.
I had forgotten about this thread, and was excited to open it, then I realized it was a thread I started.
Dfrobert, Parker is out of Cedarwoods Kennel in Boise Idaho.

All's good here - except for severe bird withdrawal onset at season close!
Nothin' prettier or more exciting than a staunch/intense point finished off with a rooster flush! I get lucky every so often with camera in hand and am able to capture the moment. Suppose if I shot straighter, I'd have free hands to carry the camera and not the shotgun. Wouldn't get evil eye from the pooch as often either!
AckleyAbe: I paid a short visit to Blackbullet with Csilla a few years ago and met an absolute 'gaggle' of great lookin' reddogz... Kati looks intense and all business - fantastic pic!
Seeing as we're comparing bunnies thought I'd include my 2-bits.
Keep posting those pics - can never see enough dog work captured on camera! Great stuff!

This one is on my desk top - who says lap dogs can't hunt??!!
Little Jake the Cavalier has a heckuva nose, and can get under stuff really easier , he just doesn't go OVER stuff too well!!

Dang thats a big old hare. Pudelpointers have always appealed to me. Have heard and seen nothing but good things about the Cedarwoods line. What is your dog like at home? Couch potato? How far does he range in the wide open stubble fields??

I am very bad for taking pictures...I always have been. Problem is, usually I don't bother taking the camera.....and if I do, it's tough to use with Shottygun in hand waiting for birds to come up.
Great you posted some of yours, I've been singing the virtues of the V for 14 years now (Kati is my second). First was Ch. Comynara's Magnum Action C.D.X. We lost her 5 years ago to Sick Sinus Disease. She was somewhat more reserved than Kati, but she made a V believer out of everyone that met her.
Anyway, let's just cross our fingers and hope that not too many people find out what a great breed they are, or, heaven forbid, Walt Disney gets a hold of one and does a movie. So far, for the most part, breeders have kept the breed true and strong, although, what I call Kijiji breeders are starting to apear.
By the way it looks like Kati may be having a litter this spring. She should come in in the next month or two and Sherryanne (Blackbullet's as you know) wants to breed her. She has a couple of boys in mind. Hmmmm, wonder if my wife is ready for another red-headed terror in the house?

Hare was 12 lbs. Parker once retrieved a hare from a rangefinder measured distance of 373 yards.
As for personality, he is 1/2 clown and 1/2 evil genius. Honestly, he is a huge suck who will literally climb into your lap if you let him. Like most hunting dogs, he will figure out how to get himself in trouble if he is not exercised frequently.
In the stubble he will punch out 3-400 yards if there is some birdy habitat to check out, but usually ranges from 75- 150 yards. In close cover he shortens up a lot, but honestly we rarely hunt forest.
One thing he used to do, but hasn't for a long time, is bay like a hound - and loud like a hound as well!!! I would love to run him on cats, but don't dare to run him by himself. Maybe if I had 2 or 3 more.

Awesome Pics guys
I have been following this thread since the start and felt it was time to chime in and compliment all the pics.
Add the the fact that I picked up a new shotgun for myself and the lab at home and you have one jacked up new bird hunter.
My wife would shut this thread down immediately, just to shut me up, but she isn't here so I say keep the pics coming.
