Asked my taxidermist the same question this year, she said 4 hours to get it into the shop, after that it could all go south. Kinda remembering she said not to leave it in the freezer to long. Hope it all works out, beauty buck.

Nice buck, a deer like that taken with a bow is totally killer. Way cooler then shot at 300yrds with a rifle.(JMO).

Absolutely an amazing buck Blake. Time was well spent scouting this Buck. Hopefully you can get it into the Taxidermist soon to get mounted.

I am no expert on this, but I recall asking a taxidermist about the time frame for getting velvet covered antlers into the shop in order to preserve the velvet. His answer to me was ASAP.

His brow's are good, his G4's are really good and hes got a couple stickers starting. Assuming a 17" inside spread I will guess 171 1/8" gross.

Hi Big rack lover

Nope.... Not retired. Any one who knows me, can attest that I have the most patient and gracious wife of 15 years. She is o.k. with me burning up a set of truck tires and sometimes 2 pairs of boots in a shed season.. Lots of scouting and boot leather!!!!!! I search within a 4 hour radius of my home and look for sheds 2-4 evenings a week and weekends when I can.. I start in late december and go till green-up.. Time and calories.. gotta burn both to have big number shed years!!

good luck!!
