I'm waving the white flag as well on this loooooooonnnnnngggggg winter.

Taking solace and hoping that with everything being late that we will have a nice warm summer well into September, then a nice cool fall right through to late November.

I guy can dream!

A couple of years back everything was early by 2-3 weeks, I guess old mother nature is balancing things out!

I pride myself on enjoying winter for what it is. We went snowshoeing, winter camping, etc. as much as we could. But about three weeks ago, I was just done.

Normally we head somewhere warm and go diving for a week or so in the winter, but with our dog's 6K knee surgery money has been tight. The one year we don't go is the coldest in years!

Pulling the trailer out for camping on May 1, come hell or high water.

Lol. I hope it's a nice summer. Wife said if it isn't we're moving south. I asked if elmsworth was south enough lol.

I guess one thing to look forward to is it puts off the skeeters hatch.

It's been a crazy year....I'm out at Pigeon Lake and it took me and the wife 2 days to shovel off the decks...would have only taken her 1 if I had not been helping.
Lotsa snow on our golf course, but at least the crew arrived yesterday and have cleared the greens from all the snow...they work way faster than the wife as well.
I'm stubborn so I'm staying here now for the summer, there are about 150 seasonal sites here and we are the only two here right now, season has always started on April 1 around here, I guess they must have spent our carbon Levy/tax on other things than the non existing threat of global warming...

Just landed in West Palm Beach, 28 C and 70% humidity. My hair feels so manageable ! Barrett Jackson auction with my son and daughter, and two days of fishing booked. When I get back it damn well better be better!! I have a mountain of snow the city piled up in front of my driveway all winter, I'm hoping it's gone by June.

If the greens are cleared up, maybe they'll let you on the course with a hockey stick and a tennis ball. You could use snow shoes for foot wear!

I took up Trad archery this winter, lots of fun visiting with folks of all ages, Frugal in cost.

I did a take-down bow so it travels every where I go.

Draton Valley, Crows Nest Pass, Grande Prairie, then off to Southern Ontario with it once I get back from BC.

A Ice Fishing & Archery winter took up alot of time, next year is a bigger ice shack, and a few more toys to fill in the good times.

Was talking with some old wife's that I know. With all the fog we've been having down south here it's going to be one wet spring/early summer. Heavy snow pack in the high country, quick warm up, heavy rain and another 100 year runoff.

I wonder if the NDP think that this is only a result of the implemented Carbon Tax?

Last few years has seen early spring and snow gone in February.

No it's almost halfway into April and still plenty.

I'm actually surprised no one is taking responsibility and rubbing it in our faces.

or is this a sign of climate change because the weather isn't following the calendar.

Says Spring, But sure as hell doesn't look like it.

I saw an article that attributed the cold weather as a result of slowing ocean currents which are a result of ... you guessed it ... climate change. Obviously the only solution is higher taxes.

Snow for me also. If there's mud, it's about 14 inches down. Cabin fever, there wasn't a hope in **** I'd make it.

I love this post - made me laugh.

When things are soooo bad you just sink your shoulders, sigh and get on with it resolved to the fact that life right now sucks and nobody cares about your predicament ......

Been there and done that myself.

I've buried my truck before and just had to pause there for a moment with my hands on the wheel looking at the floor mats and just letting out a big sigh. lol.

At least you have a tractor - I had a shovel and a come along. That lesson sucked. Took me 5 hours of silence, digging, jacking, more digging and jacking, then a half a bottle of rum and a half dozen advil to get over it the next day. I think I finally spoke on the third day.

At least you guys have a taste of spring. Here we still have all out winter.

I have a Case 466 yard tractor. I fired it up yesterday to clear a path to my camper, so I could use it in a week of an upcoming show.

No dice. First the snow is twice the depth of the blower and then the couple that drives the hydraulic pump stripped out.
By the time I get parts the show will be long over and the snow all gone, I hope.

Yup, no geese, no melt water, no sign of spring. We have had some warm days but I've seen more melting and warmer days in a mid winter Chinook then we have had this April.

Today has been the closest I've seen so far , that looks like it might be spring, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed lol.

One fellow said that when he was planning to retire, he would drive south and every once in a while stop and ask the locals about snow shovels. He said that the first place where he got a blank look was a place he would consider retiring!

I told my wife recently that we were only 2 or 3 blizzards away from summer.......well, at least I thought it was funny!
