IMHO shoot what feels comfortable, don't get a gun that scares you so you flinch every time.

Also the best advice I ever got about hunting is get good optics, take the time to set them right and go practice shooting, from every position you can think of.

Once your sure you can hit what you're aiming at practice some more.

This is great advice.
Only draw back I could imagine is that 25-06 ammo may not be available in all locations. And the 7mm is a little lite for Brown bear and Polar bear, when you consider ALL the N/A animals.
Having said that I would swap the 25-06 out for a 375 H&H.
But again this is just a personal opinion. the decision is yours and yours alone!

If everyone shot a 30-06 the world would be a better place.

If only 1 rifle, you're likley right!
Bullets range from 55gr thru 220gr. - gophers to moose!
Definelty not a bad choice!!!

Shows what you know,Just cause it has magnum on the end of it does not mean its a canon.

My grandfather shot a 308 his entire life, he hunted mostly deer and moose with it mostly, and the odd timber wolf, bear, coyote. Shot placement is your best friend.
