Fair amount of rain and wet snow east of Calgary over the last week or so. Ground has a thin layer of snow now and 1 C. Supposed to rain at 1:00 pm right to 3am Friday. Not much Friday and Saturday but more coming Sunday right thru till Thursday next week. Was real dry , we need it.

Started raining here yesterday just before noon, just dumped 30mm ( 1 2/10" ) out of the gauge, it's supposed to rain all night here, the ground is just sucking it up like a sponge, we needed it

Big smile from me, we got a little over 2"s here in the Sturgeon River Valley just outside St Albert and like everyone we really needed it. Wonder what the guys around Spirit River are seeing. It was popcorn fart dry up there a few weeks ago, even though the dugouts had pretty good water fill at the time.

Apparently, we may have a 2" total for the last wk or so, yesterday was supposed to be 1.27". Ground shud have enough moisture now to make farmers happy, some were hard at seeding before the rain hit. Be a couple of days before they can get out again now. Temps are supposed to jump hard into 70's, may hit 80 over the weekend. Bulk of the duck ponds still don't show much, some hard to tell because of vegetation in them, some that have been dry for the last couple of years, in some areas, showing a bit of water now, not many though, and it's pretty shallow.

Emptied 3" out of the gauge over the last week near Moose Jaw, so grateful to say the least. Been a long time coming.

We're about 20 mins east of Edmonton - received about 1.5 inches in the last 24 hours or so. Definitely needed, some of the little ponds around here were starting to host more mud than water and I've seen some pretty unhappy looking waterfowl struggling to find good nesting sites.

south of medicine hat we got about 1 1/2 inches, probably a bit more then that because of the unbelievable wind coming from the west at around 60 kph.

Got another 8/10" overnight, started about 5:00 yesterday, had a real downpour with some small hail around 7:00 PM. That brings our total now to 4.6" since the first rains came the last week of April, I think we're good for a while now.

Got another good shower today, mixed with a bit of hail. I would guess 1/4 - 1/2" depending on which side of the city you're on. All I know is, I have not had to water my garden or lawn yet.

We have only had 6/10ths in May. But that’s ok. Still have some hay to seed.

Been raining off and on every day for the last 7 days, cut my lawn about 11 days ago, it's about 8-10" high now, damned thing grew 3" in about 3-4 days after I cut it, been raining every day since.
Did a trip to Stettler a week ago, was seeing sheet water in sloughs that were dry last year, many were still not showing any water, but, I wouldn't necessarily want to walk across them. Have to go there again tomorrow, see what the difference looks like now. They claim 61mm in Drum for the month so far, but, that probably depends which cloud you happened to be under. Certainly far more water around, than there was from snow melt earlier on this spring.

Got 1/10" yesterday which brings our May total to an even 4" and with the rain we got at the tail end of April we are just over 5" now this spring. Much needed moisture for the crops and pastures as well the sloughs in the area are looking good again for the nesting ducks and geese. More rain in the forecast for early next week.

1.25" yesterday in west-central Edmonton.
Definitely not the hot dry spring like political bootlicker David Philips from environment Canada was predicting so boldly.

Rained good last night in Calgary. At times heavy with that system passing. There was a thunderstorm warning but I saw no flashes and heard no booms. Also saw no hail.

Was up to Edmonton yesterday for an appointment, rained all the way up and all the way back, Edmonton definitely got more than we did as it rained hard at times during the day. We had just 3/10" when I got home but it's been raining lightly most of the day so far.

Not sure how much exactly, but it sure is quite a bit in the past month or so. Not complaining. Yet.
I sure here frogs where I haven’t heard them in a while, haha.
