Yup and who would have thought, it would have taken just 19 games?

Anyone catch Tkachuck try and go for that lacrosse move behind the net in the third? Went pretty fast and he didn't have much time but I would think he gets one before the end of the season.

They should be rested, probably did a little team bonding in Banff?? Haven't played since Wed. Seems odd to take a break on a road trip and not home stand, but can't blame them when so close to the mountains.
Looking forward to hopefully the good effort like the other night, if so will be a good game.

Should be a good game. I am actually thinking about finding some tickets and going!
Blues are doing well this year its a good measuring stick.

No, it's a bit of a drive for me, and it gets pricey with gas, parking, food, tickets, hotel.

Well maybe on this thread I’ll get varying answers...
Does anyone think the looch trade was a bad trade? Or a good trade?
Just a simple good or bad answer is asked.

We needed to get rid of Neal and the only way that was going to happen was getting a bad contract back. Considering Brad was likely being offered Eriksson, Seabrook, Ladd, Ryan, etc., he didn't have a lot of options. In context, I'm okay with the trade.

Not sure I could answer just good or bad. I can find both good and bad points to it. I have always said I think we should have gave Neal one more season, and see if last year was just a one year thing. I can't give you just one as they are not the same caliber of player, two different rolls.

When you trade for the worst player in the league, it is never good.

Right now looks like bad trade for flames. I would have liked to wait another year before moving him. Can a guy be that bad 2 years in a row? Pretty confident though if he was still a flame he wouldn’t be lighting it up like he has been with oilers.
Ask me in 4 more years so little early to judge. All i know is Brad saved the owners 18mm in true salaries savings in doing this deal. He has sucked signing free agents. Like Brad but his free agent signings have been brutal. Other then that like what he brings to the table.

If your looking just at points than sure we got robbed, but Really is that what we took Looch for is point production?? This is what I am not getting in this conversation. He wasn't brought in to light up the goal light. Neal has scored more than he did last year, does this surprise anyone?? I am not as he should have done at least his last year as well.
We needed a physical guy as we haven't had one since England left, and we got that out of this trade.. We were small and getting pushed around, now were not, so we got what we were after.
I will never understand how people compare the two, and not sure how you say one WON the trade as they provide different things. If you traded Neal for say RNH, then see who had more points sure I get that.
This I don't get, but anyways I'm moving on. Good game lined up tonight, and IF the Flames play like they did the other night should be a dang entertaining game.
GFG!!!

The only thing that Milan has contributed is giving the other 3 left wingers a rest when he is on the ice.

It's like they just want a win.. ANY WIN.. They could have guessed correctly what rain drop was going to fall down the glass first and they would have been planing a Stanley cup route.. The desperation is palpable. We are exactly where we were meant to be. We have a really good team with room for improvement and I like watching Looch. Life is good. Great game tonight. Excited to watch it actually.

Should be a good game tonight. I am in Airdrie for my daughters ringette tourney so I might hit a sports pub and try to put up with a bunch of Flames fans. I am going to have to make it to the Saddle Dome one day.

Bad trade today, points to points, but we haven't seen our 3rd round pick yet. Looch does bring something to the table Neal wouldn't, McGratton absolutely loved by his teammates.
Expansion draft looming, Looch's contract have the new GM drooling to get him to the cap floor. Troy Brouwer's free agent debacle should have larned Tree, ticked that it didn't.
Don't forget Vegas wanted James Neal gone almost as bad as Calgary did.....

You should have said something. Tickets are really cheap tonight and I was scrambling around trying to go. That would have been fun.
Enjoy the tournament.. I sure do miss them.

Should be a good game.. Good luck to your daughters team, Man I miss tournament weekends. Always good laughs and some drinks.
If you haven't personally been to the Dome before, if you go you will see why we have been after one for so long.

I saw your earlier post and considered it, but my daughter is on the ice at 9 pm and I might have been sleeping in the truck. I will secretly have the ear buds in listening to the game. Hoodies are not just for armed robberies.

Alright boys, here we go!
yes, that's a subtle reminder that the game starts at 8:00, not 8:30....

Always another Flames game. Not always another chance to watch the kids play.
Tonight I sit here and am so proud of both my Kids. My daughter is way way out in Victoria going to school and Willy is 1.5 hours west working and living at a ski hill. He is also driving his "New to him" Blazer we picked up yesterday. What I wouldn't give for one more tournament, one more school play. I envy you tonight. Let us know how she does.
