Thanks guys! But like I said before, you guys going on about all your beautiful knives and your custom orders got me all wound up. The next one I get will be custom. I had 2 choices. The other one was a bit cheaper. But black and white and very sexy. And right after I placed my order I almost slapped myself, I should have bought them both!

Very nice savage bacon.

For those of you who buy desert ironwood, start with the lightest colour you can because it darkens with age/use.

It will be a very similar design to a crots skinner but the scales will be taylored for my grip..it will end up being very much a custom for my hand/grip.

Should have it by july im guessing.

I have AO in my hands. Currently all three thumb joints in both hands have no cartilage so they get very sore and swollen. Because of the arthritis i have nerve impingement in my hands which causes chronic tendonitis in my arms. The scales will be shaped to reduce stress on my joints.

I was thinking it was something like that. Now that's a custom knife! In time for hunting season, I can't wait to see it.

Its one of the biggest reasons why i chose to go with a more local custom maker rather than a crotts or dozier. If im paying for a "custom" knife id like it to solve some of the issues i have using knives for any length of time.

Now you are thinking....
A number of entries in this thread indicate that knife makers keep making the same design knife over and over with the same fit and finish problem(s).

Something as simple of adding a ridge or removing a ridge is all it takes for your hand...

Clint will make sure you are happy.....Sorry for the hand problems, believe me, I understand...

Yes im excited, I sold a rifle to fund it. I have many good knives but none that have the perfect combination of blade design, steel quality, and ergonomics that make gutting/skinning almost effortless as well as grip ergonomics for my particular hand issues. The goal will be a knife i can work with from start of task to finish without painful burning hands/ arms that put me out of commission for days after..

Nice bear, but that knife doesn't seem to fit his grip very well.

Nice knife Savage Bacon! I really like this design. Some other nice ones also displayed.

When you have a minute, could you please tell me:

1) Overall length?
2) Blade length?
3) Blade width?

Very much appreciated!...
