Did you not read what you quoted? Bushrat explained how different things are now, and it's not just the amount of people and the media. It's that many of todays immigrants come from intolerant religions, and they want to exploit rather than integrate.

I agree some are as you describe but not all are like that.

As with the past some but not all came to this country to set up shop as they see fit.

There are many similarities regarding what was and is now. Some beneficial and some not so.

Trudeau running his mouth/the province's are picking up the bill. Trudeau's thinking on immigration is like his thinking on everything else. Child-like.

Since Ontario was mentioned, I'll tell you that the city of Toronto has no capacity, or facility to house immigrants/refugees. I heard a recent report that 1/3 of the people in homeless shelters are asylum seekers/immigrants. The city spent $200 million dollars in 2023 keeping these folks in hotels too, I think the feds have finally said they'll reimburse.

For a guy who spents 1/2 his time patting himself on the back for all of his woke nonsense, I don't suppose it occurred to him what the "lived experience" of a new Canadian might look like when they hit the ground here? Are most Canadians in a receptive mood financially? Could the exact opposite be possible?

I think of this situation like I think of the pre-flight demo on a commercial jet. Isn't it Canada's responsibility to get it's own mask on before it starts helping others? Not according to the child sitting in the PM's chair.

early western settlers 100 years ago, we are supporting them, and providing housing, when we don't have enough housing for the people that are already here. We keep spending more and more on social programs for immigrants, when we can't afford social programs for our own citizens.

So there are small towns with 3500 population but they have approved building developments which looks like planning on doubling size of town.
There are no jobs here except government or basically minimum wage private jobs. You can not make a living here at minimum wage. Mostly pensioners or people from Calgary who dont work for whatever reason or immigrants moving here.
I don't see how these immigrants have any hope of making a living here unless they are funded by the taxpayer's or government. Is this what is happening? I don't understand the economic plan?
Yes its cheaper to live here than Calgary but there are no opportunities like Calgary and you need to be able to drive here. No public transportation and you need too leave town to shop, medical care and hopefully to work

The purpose of sending immigrants into small towns was to change the voting demographics and hopefully stuff the ballot boxes with liberal leaning votes plus wreak havoc on the finances of these communities, same as has been done on the country's finances. There are no jobs in these communities, and the low paying ones are staffed by seniors needing the income, since CPP does not receive yearly inflation adjustments like those of the politicians.

I don’t believe that is the plan. The plan is the takeover western civilization. One world UN governed body. These mostly male of fighting age immigrants will be the UN policing. There are no ties to European or North American history, culture. They will rule to whom pays them the $$$$. UN. Now we are seeing Germany is getting ready for conscription. Yes world war is coming. NATO and it’s allies need enemies (Russia, China, etc).

I suspect in some cases its about money.
Desperate immigrants taking low paying jobs most of us won't do for low wages.
I also think some immigrants that do have some savings are getting scammed into coming here and investing into what they think is a better life but they dont realise what they are getting into until to late. Best way for them to survive is to scam more friends into coming here so they can live three families to a house to pay mortgage .
I think some of it is about votes. But more of it might be about big shots who are invested into housing market. More demand for housing the more the prices go up and the richer the owners become.
