Couple years ago California had no water. Now they are good.

Reason… climates changes. To bad to worse to average and repeat.

La Niña will bring cooler and wetter weather to Alberta.

El Niño brought warmer and drier weather.

As the article mentioned… periods of poor precipitation has happened in the past.

That said it’s not unwise to conserve the water and not waste it. Waste also needs discussion. From sustainable agriculture and industry to reasonable residential and business use.
What do you mean this is all normal?! Careful, you might be branded as a climate change denier….

Out here in eastern AB it's been raining. First spring in a few years. Maybe the drought is breaking? I hope.

In the SW US they say they are in a once in 500 year drought. Tree rings confirm this, apparently. Something will break the drought. The cycle will start anew.

I’ve been reading about “historical droughts” and apparently in the past there were 30 year drouts. That’s a very long time eh? We’d better hope that doesn’t happen for a good long while.

Things will be fine here in southern Alberta if we don’t let Smrid ruin things with their irrigation mis management
