You may use a calculator, pencil, slide rule, trigonometry or an abacus to solve this problem. I had to count on my toes...

Many sharks lay eggs, but hammerheads give birth to live babies that look like very small duplicates of their parents. Young hammerheads are usually born headfirst, with the tip of their hammer-shaped head folded backward to make them more streamlined for birth.

How was the King able to determine which bag held the 15 oz gold coins with only one weighing on a scale?

The King has no idea how many people live in each province.

10 bags, one turn at the scale. How did he find the bag with the 15oz coins?

This one is easy, someone should be able to get it.

Had such good plans, all that stuff to do, found out that a 4 hour unscheduled 'nap' on the couch was far more important.

He only gets to use the scale once. 1 time only. If he could use the scale 10 times he could obviously check a coin from each bag.

I give up, probably something to do with weighing the men? Can't believe I'm still thinking about this 2 days later.

Take one coin from the first bag, two from the second, three from the third, etc, etc.

Put all the coins on the scale. If it is short one oz it is the first bag, two oz it is the second bag, three the third, etc.

Default What am I?

I am the shaper of rocks.
I have caused many deaths, yet cannot be killed.
My greatest enemy is more than a million miles away.
I helped wanderers escape, at the same time smiting an entire army.

What am I?
