When I see those postings, I keep the poster in mind, in case they ever want to buy something, or if they need a hand with something. The same for the people that offer good deals, or do good deeds for other members.

Thats what I do, if I see someone desperate for 2-3 pack of primers or some bullets and I have spare or not using I am happy to sell or trade without a massive markup just to keep another guy out there enjoying the hobby. I've been bit a few times by seeing them resell it but as with life, no karma off my back.

It's sad to see the greed of some people. They probably got it at Cabelas for $70/pound last week. To me when I see this it is like reading negative trader reviews of them and so I avoid them, not getting my $$$

So, question. Your nearing retirement, home prices are $200,000 above 10 years ago. You sell at 2010 prices do ya?

To put things in prospective, asking $150 for a pound of powder, would be like asking double the current market value for your home. But then again, the bank wouldn't give them a mortgage for double market value.

Nor would anyone buy it.

Could you imagine being so financially insecure and desperate that you feel the need to flip a pound powder to a fellow outdoorsman at those prices just to make 60 or $70?😔

60 or $70? Fellow outdoorsman?

I have my “fellow outdoorsman” quibble over 10-$15 ALL the time.

One pound still gets over 100 rounds fired, no one seems to say anything about bullet prices. A while back I listed an 8 Lb jug of us869 for $400. Couple of guys said I was way to high.

Price of partitions has gone crazy. $90 and up for a box of .30 180gr (box of 50). That is from a dealer.
Still have a couple boxes in my bench that have $35 price tags

Man your not in tune with some housing markets then! Do a google search you’ll find houses selling for WAY more than asking price. Had 2 friends in the past 2 years sell their house and get way more than asking price which was already high.

Kind of ironic people in this thread are saying how asking extra $$ for components is so horrible yet on the 1 ton truck thread people are stating they should have asked for more for selling an old truck because of how fast it sold. Or that 125000 for an F650 and cab over is a great deal When you can find it for 1/2 that price again by doing a simple google search. To each their own I suppose…

Next people are going to expect you to tell them your hunting spots because they don’t want to spend the money on gas to look for themselves

When people run to the store, the week before hunting season, to buy ammunition to sight in their rifle, there are going to be some shocked people. Either there will be no ammunition that thay can use in their rifle or prices will be way higher than they expected.
There are already people going to the stores, and not finding a single load for their rifle and the fall rush is still months away.

It’s just not worth worrying about. It’s like anything in life. If you are prepared you shall not fear.

Exactly, anyone that took some precautions and prepared, will not have to worry about having ammunition to hunt with.

Even guys who reload will be willing to pay a fortune if they are out of the components they need

If they let their supplies get that low, then they can pay. I have sold off pretty much everything that I will never use, and what I may use, isn't for sale at any price. It would be stupid to sell what I may use for a profit, and then have to pay even more in the future, if I need it.

I have already turned down several people that wanted me to lend them something, just until the shortage is over, but if I lent them all what they wanted, I would run out myself.
