Yes. At the suffeild hunt I'll be the one hiding behind the grassy knoll.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to my plan of world domination.

The regular draw hunt went through Dec and January as well, so you cant say you had other hunting priorities during the regular season.

I bet 95% of those that apply for this will not apply for the same opportunity to do this next year during the regular draw. seems like mob mentality. by the way, I've put my draw in for this already as well,,,,,
Gives us losers another chance to fill the freezer. Let's see now, a cow on the hoof is worth 3 Grand.

You gotta admit, makes for some good reading.

One thing I don't get, haven't started anything with anyone on here but seems a lot of guys are ready to jump all over me. Don't believe me read the posts again.

Sure pick on the fat kid,,,,

You remind me of a recently banned member. He wanted to go and watch the hunt too. Good luck to all who applied, I may as well.

I would be excited for a gopher hunt on the Suffield base ... I have never been but from the pictures and stories it sounds like a great experience. Canadian Safari !!!

Those that don't see it as a positive, or think they are too cool to participate, should spend some time away from this great country ... because as grandpa would say 'you spoiled ignorant'!!!

Just heard at the Magrath quota hunt meeting that they've received over 11,000 applicants for the Suffield hunt!

That's not bad. 1/74 or ~1.36%

Ok so everything I've been reading about only going on this hunt because you need to fill the freezer is bull. Guys want to go on a fee ride and not loose a bull priority. That was my point exactly. Anyone who wanted to go on this hunt had a great chance to do it during the regular draw season but didn't. Now it's all the rage.
this is a great opportunity for guys like me who have never shot an elk to do so, and to get some meat in the freezer as well for my family, while hopefully preventing more intense culling by helicopter shootings or whatever else could potentially be the next step in the management process.

This hunt just came up in Dec, not during the draw slot last June, so guys can't be blamed for applying for it.

Your argument seems like it is weak and you are just finding reasons to complain. You don't belong on here to be honest dude, unless you change your attitude...get a grip!

You mentioned something about a treaty indian friend on there too. Are you one of the ethical folks who takes advantage of your treaty friends and hunts moose in February? if so, wow you are quite the outdoorsman! We should all be in awe of your greatness hahaha

Weather can change drastically here from day to day in Feb. Here's a link to check most road conditions for those coming from a distance: http://511.alberta.ca/map.html#l=36&...&y=6802017&z=1

If you click on the cameras you get a near real time view of the actual conditions.
Good luck to everyone on the draw.
