My experience, no big deal. Hurt a little the first day, do your meds, ice pack, good as new in a couple of days. Nothing really to worry about

Been there, done it. I did swell up something fierce. So much, I went back to see the doc. (I was in the Army at the time). He gave me an athletic support for "heavy-set men". WORKED LIKE A CHARM!!!!! My wife was a medic, and she checked the stitches every day....and, no, there was no hanky-panky. The boys were not up to it, pun intended. She said she'd never seen anything so black not fall off. I wasn't amused. Felt like I had an extra-large grapefruit hanging between my legs. I slept on the couch for a couple of nights, pillow under my knees, frozen peas on the twins. Chuckle about it now, though. Have a good one, bud.

When I went into "the room" and got on the gurney, I asked the nurse if she's had ever seen any one get up and run out at this point. She laughed and said no, but she's seen a few guy's dis-appeared from the waiting area.
It was no problem for me, just some black and blue color for a few day's.
This didn't happen to me but just F.Y.I. check this link.

You could always go this route, a "do it yourself kinda way"?

Or not....

I never had a problem with mine. I went home and stained a 10X30 deck as soon as I left the hospital. More irritation from the fur growing back than the procedure itself.

No way. I will not trade one vasectomy for all the medical attention required to maintain "ladyparts"

had mine done 15 years ago. Pre op instructions where to come in clean shaven. Wife obliged when I asked the favour. Don't even remember the op, but I do remember the sensation of cords being pulled on for a few days after. I was jogging at the time and I recall the stitches irritating so I clipped them close. BIG mistake, that was uncomfortable. Had to pull them out a few days early for relief. Never a problem since then, and never a concern with family issues. Best thing a guy can do for his partner.
