Instead of the collective cheering going on in Vancouver, a collective sigh of relief would be more appropriate. That was almost the most colossal bed pooping in franchise history, up 3-0, and have to go to OT in game 7 to seal it? Lucky lucky lucky, next stop Las Vegas!

Can't help it, it's just so easy and fun to hate whiney hockey players and their fans.....

And don't forget, the score was really 2-1 in regulation for the Hawks, seeing as how they waved a good goal.....

Breaking News: Canucks will hoist "2010/2011 First Round Champions" banner tomorrow. Also, Burrows' jersey will be retired.

Also, Luongo said that a 1st round win against the 8th seed in 7 games felt better than winning a gold medal for his country. Yikes!

Now that's funny right there.....Don't forget the bit about Sweden proclaiming April 26 a national holiday for twin sisters.....

Don't you know it's a huge feat to beat a team that barely squeaked into the playoffs and is missing a big chunk of the players from last season that made Luongo their #@$^%?

In reality there was a lot of pressure on the Canucks to win this. Congrats to them for doing so, even if it was by the skin of their teeth. Still gotta win 3 more best-of-7s, though.

Full cudo's to Crawford. The guy gave them every chance to win. He was the only reason it got this far.

Wow, the haters whine more than they claim the Canucks fans do. Kind of like the Hawks and their fans whining about the Torres hit and lack of suspension, but when the Canucks complain about a hit and lack of penalty - they're whiners. Um yeah, okay . Hey, to each their own but take a look in the mirror from time to time.

If the Hawks had won, the Canucks choked and the Hawks are awesome - Vancouver beats the hell out of the Hawks tonight and they're "lucky, lucky, lucky". Talk about sore losers. Suck it up, the better team won tonight. It could just as easily be said that the Hawks were "lucky" to get that shortie to force OT.

I don't hate on other teams, I prefer to cheer on my team and if they happen to get knocked out or don't make they playoffs, I've been known to cheer for the Oilers, the Flames, the Habs (okay, anyone except the Leafs ). Never been able to figure out people who have nothing better to do than to shoot down other people and their beliefs/opinions/likes and dislikes. Speaks a lot towards their character.

BTW, I think the Hawks played a hell of a series. Crawford has a very bright future and he kept tonight a lot closer than it really had a right to be considering the hitting and the pressure that Van put on.

I should probably show the same amount of respect that I hope will some day come from Vancouver fans. CONGRATS! I thought tonights game was really between 2 goal tenders. But that being said in a quiet respectful manner go Nashville.

Default WooHoo

Well, I didn't get real quiet last night and I did get to toast the Canucks advance to the second round. YAAAYYY!!

Unfortunately I didn't get to sit and watch the whole game but I was able to duck in and watch parts of it. From what I saw the Canucks got back to how they played in the first two games. Everyone was finishing their checks. And they were standing up at the blue line. In the third period one of the commentators claimed the hits were something like 34 to 13 for Vancouver. And the refs put away their whistles. Wow. I didn't watch enough to say how well that worked, but from what I did see, normal penalties from both sides were not being called.

But I don't look down on Chicago, Holy Sh-t. That game 7 was intense. Right down to the wire. The talent of that team is impressive, I am happy for Toews, he finally scored, but I'm sure it is a bittersweet memory for him now. And Crawford, my god for a young up and comer he performed, no doubt. Last year Niemi, this year Crawford, wow, Chicago can't complain about their goal tending.

I have to confess when Chicago scored that tieing goal, short handed, and it went to OT, and we got a penalty!! I thought Vancouver was done. It got real loud at my place when Burrows won the game. In fact it is still loud. Now on to round two. We'll see what the Canucks can do with the Chicago monkey off their back. -Look Out!!

That was a great game.

Gotta give credit where it's due.....Kessler was great and Torres was huge early. Luongo.....played well but looked a little shakey at times. He played unbelievable when he needed to though.

Burrows wouldn't even "celebrate" with the sister after the goal.....anyone notice that? Skated right around him and went to join the rest of the team that actually contributed to the win. Kinda hopin' it was on purpose but it might of been a spur of the moment thing. The sisters better have a lil' more input as this thing gets going or they are gonna be in trouble.

Go PREDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Sedin's have no business going any further in the playoffs. This is a brand new environment for them. They usually book their Tee Times in September and start the bookings with May 1st. I guess they found out this year that they get paid more if they advance past the first round! LOL!

Go Bruins.

Thanks Twisted Canuck, but I don't think I'm being gracious, just open and honest. Any canuck fan that wasn't worried for their team is simply blustering. I like to give credit where it's due. I have even been known to clap for the opponent when they make a good play. And Chicago had tons. I don't trash talk.

Having said that I am at work today in my Canuck Jersey giving the gears to the Chicago fans.

On to the Predators. I anticipate a close round with them. We split regular season and they match up well against us. Tootoo to counter Torres, Lombardi to counter Raymond. Should be a good match.

Canucks in 6 !!

Great game for sure, as much as it pains me to say it, Vancouver deserved the win. They played like they did in the first two games and Chicago had no answer. A tough test lies ahead for the Canucks. I Nashville shouldn't be taken lightly.

Did it have to be that hair puller scoring both goals ? Really ?

I am looking forward to find out how Tootoo makes out whale hunting though.

Reading the Orca's comments in the news today is 'kinda funny.... they are speaking like they have won something before and defended it last night....I don't know how those bubble heads get through doorways 'n stuff

Way to go Canucks what a great game! Why all the hatred toward vancouver? As far as I see it they are the only Canadian team left in the playoffs. NOW, go "Bruins" I can never cher for the Habs, I would rather have a pepper spray enema.
