Sacrilege. There's no such thing as too many knives.
Ask me how I know...!

Chuck, that is a killer knife you pulled the trigger on today.
That is a really nice sheath as well!
Good on you.

Nice knife Pathfinder, I like the looks of that desert ironwood. Here’s one I received this week from Clint. I’m very happy with it. Feels great in my hand, I may have to wait til fall to try it out but I have a feeling it’s gonna work good. I don’t think I have any beaver that need trapping this spring but I’m going to try it on the next beaver I skin, I think it would be just right for that also.

I do. But I really like that Crotts made semi skinner. One for use. One in reserve. Two for my boys. That makes me comfortable. :-)
I have a feeling we aren’t going to see many available going forward.

I picked up a little Lionsteel M1 in m390 the other day. My boys are 8 and 10 and I figured the Crotts and Dozier are to big for them to learn how to gut and skin a deer.
In the 8 year olds mitts
The deer are rutting right now so it’s time to knock a few down and see how it works.

That’s a nice looking knife. My Lionsteel M390 has been a superb performer as well.

They are very similar in composition. Quench and temper same as 1084.

Thanks. It is quite light, and has significantly thinner blade stock than my other semi skinners.

It’s time to break out the knives again. The top one is a year old and has skinned four bear, broken down one mule deer in the field and skinned three, skinned a pronghorn and one whitetail. That use is exactly why I have three more. Hopefully everyone gets to bloody their favourite knives here shortly.
