That's the problem. Only one real good one and he's not eligible.

The Habs gave them every opportunity to close the gap and make the playoffs but the flames but they couldn't muster up anything, lots of talent wasted this year on the Flames team, not that I care but it will be interesting to see what the team looks like in the fall

Great night on the out of town scoreboard last night. LA, San Jose, Anaheim, Ottawa, and Columbus all won. We're a mere two points out of bottom five. Big game against Ottawa this Sunday, proverbial 4 point game!

Wow, the North Division sucks! The Flames are 27th overall, with 5 games left in the season, and haven't officially been eliminated!

In contrast, the Rangers are 14th overall, and were eliminated almost a week ago.

Regular season is wrapping up though, nearly half dozen teams are done.

Ya but they will have to move up to about 18th if they were to make it.

The weakest division in the league, and the flames can’t get a playoff spot.

Canucks have a couple of good excuses. Calgary doesn't.

Calgary probably the biggest reason for that but quite frankly, that's a Flames fan perspective.

I think with the right attitude and we keep playing the way we have, we have a legit shot at dropping even further. If you're going to suck, at least drop as low as we can go. Ottawa is playing well lately, I expect us to do just about as well as we have all season against them.

I agree, lets get bottom 3 or 4.

Too funny, Oilers finally make the playoffs in a terrible division and some people think it's the best division in hockey!

Right now senators are hottest team in league. 9w 1L is last 10’games. Not holding breath. Based on how weak our division and couldn’t make playoffs. Sad panda

See if you can borrow Dallas Eakins for the last few games. That should do it.

A buddy at work was like "Montreal lost, I honestly don't know if I want them to win or lose on Sunday".

I'm in the lose camp, but it would be hilarious if they made it!

Nice to see Gawdin get on the scoreboard.

I'm not/wasn't watching. How did Monahan make out on wing?

Edmonton can help you out or help you in.

Montreal games are against the Oilers. Flames last 4 against Cunucks.

Imma make a fearless prediction here

IF....Calgary makes it in... I will take bets that they will beat the Leafs in the first round.

They’ll play like trapped cornered badgers.... and the Leafs won’t be able to handle that.

I would take that bet.
They had an odd game last night and scored 5 times but they aren’t gonna out score the leafs over the duration of a series.
Only way that happens is if Markstrom finally gets hot and the leafs elite offence starts a slump at the same time.
But stranger things have happened.
Might be biased but the only team I see taking down the leafs is the oilers if they can get past them shutting them down like the last few games against each other.
But I wouldn’t hold my breathe for that to happen.
Who knows. Anything can happen in playoff hockey.

You might as well end the season on a 5 game win streak.

Yes, they'll need a "few" moves.. after all this is the weakest division in the league

So now that it’s official, can we do a proper tank job and just go for draft picks to trade? Something to improve, for the love of god, find someone who can score goals.

Chin up my friend.

Here’s hoping that next year we can meet at the Saddledome and pack back whiskies between periods of the ole BOA....!
