I see there are now 4 NHL players that have been granted indefinite leave of absences. Guess the 5th never made it..

2018 WJC sexual assault scandal.
Glad to see this case moving forward.

Dillon Dube stepped away from the Flames on Jan. 21 due to "mental health" and Carter Hart was granted a leave of absence from the Flyers on Jan. 23.
In addition, Alex Formenton was granted a leave of absence on Jan. 24 by his Swiss league team, HC Ambri Piotta, and is expected to return to Canada. The same day, Michael McLeod and Cal Foote both were given indefinite leaves of absence from the Devils.

This is going to have far reaching effects on those involved and those that were involved in the cover up, it will follow those for the rest of their lives if found guilty as well it should. If they are not found guilty it will still follow them just for being accused of it.

Well all five players in the London incident should be named shortly. The one player was playing in Europe and will be returning to Canada shortly. Sad to say but it looks like a flames player will be named as one of the offenders.
Also as previously mentioned this will have an immediate effect on the player's playing careers. One sportswriter used the Corey Perry incident as an example. In that situation he was released by the club and given a cash settlement on the contract signed. Same could be applied here, and if convicted the players will most likely be banned from playing in the NHL.

I am sure that all 5 will be charged, it's taken 2 years for the investigation and they would not have been summoned to the London Police if charges were not going to be laid. They will have their day in court and have to accept the consequences for their actions, even if found not guilty this will forever be associated with their names they are branded for life.

Adam Foote can probably say goodbye to the Hockey Hall Of Fame as well. Of course this is a minor thing compared to what the victim possibly went through but it definitely tarnishes things in that regard...

The summary of what happened to the woman was both shocking and disgusting.
If proven in court then they are monsters that need some serious jail time.

Busy couple days....
-Islanders fire their head coach and hire Roy;
-Lindholm to the Canucks;
-Monahan to the Jets for a 1st (which, as much as I like Sean, I feel is an overpay); and,
-LA just fired Todd McLellan.

He did indeed. It was great seeing the 'stars' having to put in an all star effort. I really enjoyed it though,...I am a tad biased.

Solid game by Vegas.
Glad Edmonton lost. A) I don't like Edmonton, B) I realize the Oilers didn't change the rule and it has nothing to do with them, but I don't like when the league changes the rules, which makes old records easier to beat, then teams "beat" them, and C) I like Pittsburgh.
Here's a crazy stat I heard on the radio, since going 20-4 since 1st December, Edmonton's gained 2 points on Vancouver.

On a good note the Timmins Rock of the NOJHL where my grandson plays are currently riding an 8 game win streak, Mason has put up 30 goals and 21 assists in 32 games this season so far since being traded there from the Camrose Kodiaks in October, they currently sit in 1st place in the Eastern Division with a 12 point cushion and 13 games to go in the regular season.
They play again tonight Keep on roll'n the Rock boy's, this is the only meaningful hockey that his " crazy hockey papa " is really vested in.

Guessing Rielly gets 5 games. Attempt to injure and was well after the play and not in the heat of the moment/premeditated.
Seems that's a strong over reaction for doing a slap shot into an empty net...
Hope he gets ten, the Leafs panic, and over Calgary a 1st for Tanev!

They showed last night that the last 10 players that had in person interviews with the DPS for targeting the head received a minimum of 6 games, can't see why this would be any different.
Maybe the leafs and Rogers Media broadcasters have made enough noise about it that they only give him 4 games

Morgan was sending a message to not only the meathead taking a Slapper but to his bench too.
Frustrated and of course maybe the Slapper fella was mouthy throughout the game.
A little much but he will face the music.

If you'd watched the game, you might have noticed the 'mouthy fellow' got a rough ride most of the night in front of the net, including a high stick in the face that didn't get called. His empty net slapper was understandable in context of his own frustration during game. And Reilly's frustration and response was also understandable. But, he's gonna get at least 5 games for it I think. It's just hockey, no need to read more into it then that.
