I remember an article in Nat Geo from 1976 where they were still studying the likelihood of a coming ice-age. It stated that Global Mean Average Temperature was then around 56f but that according to the data of the time, the historic GMAT was 71f. So it claimed anyway.

Reconsider what was really said in that time period.
Science advances in 45 plus years. Now virtually all climate scientists agree that the earth is warming because of carbon emissions.

No....97% of the scientists said a decade ago that the earth was in a "warming period", 23% surmised it "might" be due to mankind....

The only way you are going to get any real reduction in CO2's as well as any real effect in climate change is to get China and India on board as well at the same time. Anything other then that is a political redistribution of power and wealth scheme.

AVB3, we know we aren't going to change your stance on global warming. But don't bring up the articles you claim to support your position. You need to go beyond the surface, beyond those articles. There are so many political influences that the real science has nothing to do with it at this point.
Real science has not proven AGW.

I don't think you're left wing. Just misguided. If you believe 100% of 'scientists' funded by assorted left wing groups, Soros, Sierra club and the like then you may not be open to opposing ideas. Many scientists that are against climate change don't get funding cause there is no money for that the big donors go for the sensational. And that right now is global warming err. Sorry climate change. The first name wasn't believable anymore. At any rate it is no wonder the eco tolitarians say its a settled science. You're ignoring scientists from China, Japan, Russia and over a 100 other countries, all who agree. None have anything to do with a Soros, a Gore or a DeCapprio. Observations from the Japanese satellites concur with the finding of the NOAA ones.
You're not suggesting that the Japanese are not independent, are you?
