Well now that they have had their CBA mandated day off they are gonna have to get back to work on Fri.
I wasn’t even aware you could play a game on your day off.

Well, they aren't that bad, but you take the Ottawa games away and they are barely a .500 team.
Unfortunately for the Oilers, they aren't going to meet Ottawa in the playoffs.

They didn't play on their day off, I know today was a scheduled day off but what they did tonight sure wasn't playing hockey, as Tippet said in his post game media talk, " we didn't start good, we didn't play good and we didn't finish good, and that's about it "

You can't be sore that the Oilers didn't do the Flames work for them...
Terrible game, down right ugly. How many games have the Oilers won since the Talbot era when the first shot of the night goes in? Brutal.
When is Stalock out quarantine?

Ottawa is great for boosting all of the other Canadian teams records.

It's hard not to make the playoffs with all Canadian teams in the same division.

Just need to put that game behind them. It was their first regulation loss in the last 6 game, swept the Jets, and took 3 out of 4 point from the Leafs. They will fly home, get a couple days rest and be ready for the BOA on Friday night.

Correct. My comment has nothing to do with the Flames....
There have been articles written about it that go into great detail. Essentially, the Oilers are really, really good against the bottom three teams in the division, 0.750% win ratio or some ridiculous number (equivalent to 123 pts in a regular 82 game schedule) and are quite poor, 0.420% win ratio or some ridiculous number (equivalent to 69 pts in a regular 82 game schedule), against Toronto, Winnipeg, and Montreal. The concerning issue being they will be playing one of those three in the playoffs, and if things don't change, it's going to be a short series and playoff run. Assuming the players don't just magically improve in the coming months, is Holland going to make a move or proceed with the status quo?

Cherry picking... first ten games we were terrible. Except for the 3 straight loses against the Leafs we have been .500 or better against every team in the North since those first 10 games. Oilers have gotten better as the season gone on... that is a good thing and you may want to share it with the Flames.
