Well that was ****ing sick 38 saves for some noob goalie (with at least 20 of them being very close) and one soft goal against our best, most dedicated player all year in the first few minutes ****ed our season over just like that. The hockey gods just arent on our side. Yotes have to win or else we're done. Team played their heart out and it got them nowhere. What a disappointment.

this is our problem right here......very close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades and slow dancing. we have needed someone to step all year and be a closer..and no one has. very sad...the boys put in a good show. roli is a machine and deserves the season MVP (for the team that is..not the league). here's to playing hard till the end...and coming back stronger, faster and more talented next october.

We've got to play a full 60 minutes, we really NEED the fans behind us, we need to be better in the first period, we need to shoot more..etc etc etc...yah it should be a REAL BOA...

DAMN!!
That was great Goaltending tonight.

Though one more run on Kipper or if this game was a preview to a series and things could have gotten ugly.

To many injuries (not that Van didnt go though it)
Lou out played Kipper.

Hmm Lets see what the weekend brings.

Flames and Looo played great tonight, advantage still goes to our Flame's, I mean if they can't beat this weak Coiler team twice then I might get concerned.....

Ya...gotta agree with ya there...I'll "accidentilly" fail to mention that. When jim came to our school in my gr 11 year, he said he had to make a million a year just to cover Eva's wardrobe!! His exact words LOL

Luongo sure gave Kipper a goaltending clinic last night. Yep what were those famous words, Luongo is good but not Kipper great! Big game, a lot on the line and Kipper, well he was not that good. Luongo, well he is Luongo and not the first time he has ever put on a display like that.

Using injuries to try and justify why you lost is for the weak. All teams go thru injuries. NJ lost arguably the best goalie in the world but they kept on going and winning. Called depth in your organization.

Elite players step up to the plate when things are on the line and I think we saw an elite player last nite do that. Probably why he is captain of the team!

Yep - Bobby Lu was definitely on his game last night. It was nice to see the Canucks capitalize on their chances too. Overall, the Flames did play well (I can't take that away from them) and I think they may be on the verge of turning things around. It would be nice to see the Oil take at least one game from them so that the Canucks have a chance at the division title but in the end it's not that big of a deal to me as I don't really care whether Van plays the BJs or the Hawks in the first round.

Only about a week until the playoffs start. I am pumped. This is the best Canucks team that I can ever remember. In '94 (the run that all of us hopeless Canucks fans cling to) it was really just a team that got hot at the right time. By no means am I guaranteeing a deep playoff run this year but I do believe they have a legitimate chance for the first time in many years.

A tip of the hat to Luongo for sure. Calgary was all over him like Oprah on a Twinkie. The score did definately not reflect the level of play between the clubs.
I think we need to look ahead a bit and sign David Moss for a few more years. Is he ever playing great.
As long as we come to play for 60 minutes, Oil shouldn't be much of a problem.

Sounds like that applies to more than one Alberta team last night.

The commentators on the broadcast last night kept talking about how Luongo was the difference and how great Calgary played. I'd buy that if the final score was 1-0, but the Canucks got FOUR in the flame net. Can't say the flame defense or goaltending was up to par. Need to pull up their socks.

That said, hard to say who will finish first. Both teams have nothing left for opponents but eliminated bottom-feeders. Given that my Oil are now out, I hope the Flames flatten them so as to leave NO doubt that a major overhaul is required. PLEASE, no "Let's win one for Mac T" flourish at the end of the year to put off necessary changes.

Oko.. Nucks didnt start lighting it up till the final 10 minutes or so when Calgary was pushing for the tying goal. Shots were 47-25 or something like that. Lou was first star and Kipper was third.
Crazy Goaltending.
