Are you sure you are shooting a Creed? Sounds more like you are shooting a 6.5X47. Exactly what my X47 does for me.

Can't say, as this is a family friendly site.

It’s not too hard to see why people can’t uderstand what makes the Creedmoor a great cartridge, most of these guys can’t even spell it correctly after making hundreds of posts on Creedmoor threads.
I need a little clarification though, if I have two 243’s, two 280ai’s, two 270 wsm’s, a 280 rem, a 308, a 30-30 and a 6.5 Creedmoor, am I still just considered a Creedmoor Guy?

Nope, you can be a Creedmoor dude unless you own it as your soul gun,,, I thinking you'ld be a Mixed Veriaty fellow. Ha
I went on line this morning looking for a medium heavy barrel Creed with nothing that meets my specs,,, so I'll finish off the one barrel this winter,,, then swap it out.
I'm sure our custom barrel maker south of our farm can build me one pretty fast.

I felt so bad reading this thread that I sold a Creedmoor yesterday.......
But it wasn't my soul rifle, nor my sole rifle.....heck it wasn't even my sole Creedmoor......
I wonder if the internet had been around in 1925 at the introduction of the 270 if we would have had a similar reaction to the newcomer that became very popular.
The 280AI went through a similar thing a few years back. The lovers and haters went on and on for thread after thread....

I think having the 6.5’s is ok but the fact you have both a 6 and a 6.5 that are preceded by the word Creedmoor is like a double whammy, I’m afraid you may considered like an ultra creed guy???

So of all these rifles you guys have put time and energy into finetuning, if you were forced to choose only one for the rest of your life hunting, which make and model and cartridge would you pick.

I like the guns I have, they work for me when I go hunting. I don't really care what guns anyone else has, or what they use them for. But I gotta say these 6.5 threads are kind of entertaining.

I’m not sure if you actually read the thread or maybe it’s like when you’re watching an mma fight you don’t really notice when your favorite fighter is getting beat up, you only notice when they get a shot in, but I didn’t get ignorant on that thread. I was on hiatus in the bush for a couple weeks, are you trying to get this thread shut down?

Man, I was just contemplating a 6.5x284 or a 28 Nosler.... now I’m not sure what to get.
Wait a minute...... I think you’re after a 6.5 PRC!
Am I right?

That bad, huh? What if I got it in a Tubb gun? Would that be doubling down? I have a 243 in a Tubb, or should I mention that?

similar choice to me... I would say Ruger Hawkeye in 308 win. I havent owned a Kimber, I'm not sure what i think about them. I feel like the extreme lightweight design is more suited to a rare occasion special situation type rifle vs a do it all the time type...

Have had several Kimbers, couple 7-08's, 270, 30-06, 7WSM still have a 308 Montana which is just about right for my style of hunting. Like em because they're light enough you forget it's slung on your shoulder.

I may actually put together another irons match rifle in 6.5 CM but if I do it will likely be around an Eliseo not a Tubb.
Still trying to decide

After reading this thread I’m actually quite surprised that I’ve been able to kill as much game as I have over the last forty years being that I’ve never owned a Creedmoor or even shot one. With already owning a few 6.5x55’s and 6.5-284 I’ve never felt the need for anything else.
Whether you love or hate the Creedmoor it is a very well designed cartridge that shoots high b.c bullets at moderate velocities. In my opinion there isn’t much game that couldn’t be shot with one.
