Carolina beats the Rangers again, scored 4 unanswered in the 3rd period for a 4 - 1 win, headed back to Carolina

Valeri Nichushkin from the Avalanche has been suspended without pay for 6 months for violating stage 1 and 2 of the players assistant program, he has 9 goals and 1 assist so far in the playoffs, big loss for Colorado

Toews is out as well. Two big holes to fill for the Av’s.

That’s rough for the Avs. More rough for Nichushkin though. Too bad. Addiction is a serious business. As Penner noted, Toews is out as well. Looks like Dallas will be moving on, leading 3 games to 1 now.

Rangers lost their second in a row, but still leading 3 games to 2. Kind of want the Hurricanes to move on, however unlikely.

Maybe...Canes are giving me hope though!

In the west, I picked Dallas, but the way Colorado handled Winnipeg had me a bit nervous. But, with Landeskog still out and Nichushkin and Toews out, and Dallas up 3-1, I feel a better about it.

No unless today, lol.

To be fair, Vancouver played a great game. You could just see they were going to score sooner or later. Turned out to be later. Every time they were by the Oilers’ net, you just wanted to close your eyes because it looked like it was going to be a goal. Edmonton, on the other hand, it just looked another shot on net (which were lacking too). On to the next one!

Too bad for Canes. But everyone saw it coming, being down 3 games to none.

I have heard a lot of complaints about the officiating this year, but watching the highlights, it was surprising to see a player that was standing still, called for charging. All these years, I thought that you had to actually be moving to charge someone.

They were saying on the radio this morning, in the cap era, of goaltenders who have played at least 15 playoff games, Skinner is 69th of 69 in SA %. I don't feel that's all on him, but that's rough.

If the Avs get bounced by the Stars, that should be it for Nicushkin. They went through this nonsense with him, when an inebriated woman was found in his room during the playoffs with Seattle, and then he went AWOL. Time to cut their losses and move on from him as a player.

Well, Boston as done, as expected. Bobrovsky made some wicked saves.

And the Bruins are gone 2 - 1 Florida, they broke the tie with 1:32 remaining to eliminate Boston.

Rangers / Panthers in the East final
