I got the impression that you felt that if you have set up a stand in an area, if someone is hunting there they should leave if you come along and want to get in your stand and start hunting there. I'm not talking about being in your stand, just hunting there. If you want to go and get your stand, would you go to the spot to get it if you knew there was another hunter hunting in that very area? What if your stand was there and I was sitting underneath it? Would you expect me to leave the area?

I agree, you can not have a tree fort for more then 14 days. However the law posted has no relation to tree stands.

Just another internet wannabe "tough guy". You, in your inimitable wisdom about dealing some wrath on another hunter would probably get your behind kicked up around your ears that you would have to part your hair to crap!!! Carry on tough boy.

I have used them in the past and never encountered the builder or anyone who claimed to have built it. Last year i used one on a couple days while Elk hunting, there were some loose boards and garbage so i fixed the boards cleaned up the garbage and wrote a thank you note

Someone else s property?
How could it possibly be your property? It's a tree on public land. I'm the one who is legal, not you.
And you didn't answer my question. How many laws do need need to break while hunting to become a poacher?

You never posted the law saying tree stands are illegal. You can't create phoney laws then call people criminals and poachers for not following them lol

Tree stands are not illegal if you take them with you after....permanent structures on public land are not allowed...You need more time in the bush, and less time watching hunting shows on television.

No, you can enter on or occupy public land for recreational purpose for 14 days. If you will be on the land for reasonably more then 14 days you can apply for a permit

Sure, but it does not mean that you can build a fort there...and if you do, does not entitle you to claim the land as yours when you are away from the fort.

well you implied that you would remove anyone in a tree stand you thought was yours.... so you built the tree stand fort what ever you want to call it but then you abandoned it as soon as you leave since you can not steak claim to crown land... then it is up for any one to use

Yes, it's easy. I show up and say get out, you do. Or you say "no", then I start to disassemble the treestand. Pretty simple

I don't know how many times I can agree with you. You can NOT build a fort for any duration longer then 14 days. You keep repeating the same fact over and over again hoping that i change my stance on forts so you can engage in an argument you can win. I don't understand that

Not a good idea.
You could have been charged with hunting over bait.

I would expect to have a chat and see what your intentions were. After a short talk we could decide what to do.

What do you not understand? My facetious use of the word "fort" as opposed to permanent wood tree stand?
