Seriously I've never read the rules but I figure if I'm respectful and try and treat everyone like I want to be treated I should be ok. Sure I have voiced my opinion on posts where Treaty Rights have been the subject and "think" I may have crossed the line but I've never received a warning so I'm assuming I was under the radar.

Rules are usually made for the ten percent of any sector of society. And as with any of the ten percent they always ask why me.

Hate to disappoint you, if I'm being honest, much is done in isolation. Some of us are on here more then others depending on the day or week or some are night owls lol. Be very difficult to get anything done if we needed everyone's input, having said that we do communicate with each other regularly, seek input when we feel it is needed or want an opinion.

Now how can that be?? lol , might be subjective judgement......Process is simple as stated in an earlier thread. The forum rules are posted for all to see throughout the entire forum. We moderate to these rules. plain and simple.
When you see infractions or bannable offence, usually quite blatant for the most part, makes things easy. If anything I think we are way more lax and could probably step it up a notch or two but I digress.

For the most part like anything in life, we have a great members here on AO but it always those few that well make it not so at times unfortunately. Pretty easy to hide behind a keyboard, but that's the internet.

This place is only as good as the people period. I have met lots of great people off this forum, heck hunted with someone new today from the forum that wanted to partake in late season duck hunting, awesome day. Chatted with tons on this forum over PM's that I look forward to meeting one day. Always enjoy wing night when I show up. Nothing better then chatting with people that share in the same passions as you, its contagious. For those who wish to continually stir the pot, year end house cleaning is just around the corner

This place is what we make it, period!

When I joined, I was somewhat arrogant and cocky, not because I was young, but because in my small world, I knew more, and had more experience regarding firearms and hunting than the people I knew. It didn't take long for me to realize that there are several members on here who are a hell of alot more experienced in both. It is sobering to realize at first, but the smart person learns to shut up and absorb more than they spew. Since coming to this site, I have become a better hunter, shooter, reloader and in many ways, a better person. I have made some very good friends and met several more I hope I have the chance to get to know better. Thank you Rob and all the volunteers for making it happen.

Well said.

due process,
on and interwebs forum
you take this far to seriously

If the mods were using gestapo tactics and banning and suspending people over petty things constantly then no one would use this forum and it would be pretty boring with one sided discussions. Hell, Ive never even had an infraction and I've rubbed a few people the wrong way with my opinion on a few things. Mods did delete some of my posts, thanks, I was having a bad day.

The mods here keep things running pretty smoothly and I for one don't care how they do it. The rules are there and they follow them.

I find it amazing that this thread is still going.

What I find even more amazing is that mods are still commenting on it.....and I'm still reading it.

I got a little insight as to some of the banter on this forum from Okotokian and I appreciate it. He put it into perspective for me.Some time you just have to roll with the punches and don't get to excited about some of the replies. It was just friday niight fights!
