I didn't like my first name
It was the Brand of my fav gun at the time & fav hunting zone with another meaning as well, most people just jumped to the other meaning so it was time to change.

Now my fav hunting is done out of a backpack for 5-21 day trips
I'm always planning my next trip or switching out gear for the perfect setup
So it fits

BPH

Last year I was at 55 pounds for 14 days
That's with everything , gun n water, even what's in my pockets
- boots, pants, n a tee shirt
This year I'll knock 5-7 pounds off of that

Why fart and waste it when you can berp and taste it ?

Red Bullets, what made you pick that name ?

If I could pick my own Indian name it wouldn't be given then
would it ?
If I could I would like to be called Red Arrow.

If I wrote it down right in english, your woodland cree name is:

misipisiw asici kamistasiniskak pihci wiya asiwachikanisa

I can translate if you like. Only you will understand my choice of names.

"Cougar with rocks in her pockets"

I started in IT about 20 years ago. While taking my first computer course I signed up on a friend's BBS (Bulletin Board System - kind of like a primitive internet) and he recommended using something other than my real name so I used "Cptn"

Side note: Cptn comes from the poem quote below. When I was a younger man and people used to tell me what to do, or not to do, I'd tell them "It's my ship and I'm the Captain". (In other words, pis$ off, I'll do what I want)

Once I got onto the internet in the mid to late 90's I continued using Cptn. As more and more people got on the internet, I frequently found Cptn already in use and started adding "Blues" to the end of it because Blues is my favorite genre of music.

Eventually I started running into "CptnBlues" having been taken already and added the year I was born - 63. And there you have it, CptnBlues63

Since I started using that some 10 years ago, I haven't run into it already being in use.

When I joined the board I lived in Whitecourt and had a HEMI Ram when they just came out. Couldn't think of anything better/more creative at the time.

Arrow My Name

For many years, in the early 70's, I was involved in a conservation club. We had many conservation projects including nest boxes for ducks and blue birds, tree planting, stream improvements, habitat projects, and recycling. I had the priviledge of serving as Conservation Chairman for a year, and as President for three years.

Our recycling project had 45 gallons drums at various establishments, and several apartment buildings. The establishments and apartments would dispose of their waste glass. We would sort it, and then take it to the glass plant. The glass plant paid us so much per pound (don't remember the exact figure). Not only were we recycling, but also fund raising at the same time.

When I left the club to go to college, one of my good friends and his wife presented me with a pen set. On the pen set was a small plaque with the name "Mr Conservation", which is why I chose the name.

In the late 80's, when I lived in Red Deer, I served as president of the Red Deer Fish and Game Association for a couple of years. Although not as active as I would like to be with the local club where I currently live, I still maintain a conservation ethic, as outlined in the "Conservation Pledge" which is as follows:

I give my pledge as a Canadian
To save and faithfully defend from waste
The natural resources of my country
Its soils and its minerals
Its air, waters, forest and wildlife

Mr Conservation

Its where I'm from and am a member (so far)

My Indian name will remain with me for fear of ridicule! I share it along with my clan in the appropriate setting.

I think I would choose Kihci-ayisiyiniw. It means 'man of importance'.

Saminaw means 'He is touched.' That could mean more than one thing. hehe
