Exclamation Blind moose

That has to be one of the oddest things I've ever seen on here....If he was born that way it's a miracle he lived more than a year.Im sure he will taste great, congrats.

Default Only 999 more to go.

One less of these rascals to chase the deer.
Goodbye to a Maxima Red arrow, a Nockturnal knock and a broadhead.

Default Another one down

Congrats to kw12 on his first archery moose down. He said he was 8 yards when he made the shot. Great job.

Well yesterday morning things couldn't have worked out any better. I got up and it was a little windy but decided I was gonna head in to my spot anyway. As I was walking up the field i could see a cow and calf feeding so I knew there had to be a bull around. So I went to my spot got set up and I tried one of those moose smoke sticks to try and cover some of my scent as the winds were a bit swirly. Not sure if it helped but I waiting 20 mins and let out a cow call. No more than 5 mins later I hear crashing through the bush and this guy was coming straight at me. I wasn't going to take him at first as there is a few more moose in the area. He was grunting and snorting the whole way in. He got to within 8 yards and he turned broadside so I figured what the heck can't eat horns and I wasn't going to get a chance like this I didn't figure. I drew back as I was kinda behind an old dead tree. He caught me but still didn't move he was so close I could smell his breath. I settled in let my arrow fly and perfect hit. Double lung and he ran about 40 yards did a 360 and went down. Couldn't be happier with my first moose and to get it done with the bow was awesome. Awesome experience already can't wait till next season, happy thanksgiving everyone my family will be eating good for the season.

Awesome stuff again.
Keep the stories coming.
I'd take that 8 yard opportunity any day. Full freezer is what I go for too

Jealous of you guys! Well done! Great animals! I’m still empty handed, hoping a bull moose starts talking back soon!

filled my supplemental antlerless 212 elk tag on Sunday! First Elk in 6yrs of trying. Busted a small bull coming into the stand. ( first time in 6 yrs ive busted anything coming in) checked cams (huge activity week with the snow and cold) climbed into stand. Figured I would try some cow chips and see what happens as I did not know where the bull went. I typically never call in 212. Boom immediately 2 calves pop out right below me. grab the bow and try to stop them but they keep going. Take the shot and connect nicely. ran about 30 yards. Will post the Video when I get a chance.

Spotted this guy earlier in the morning out in a field with two cows and later in the day ended up taking a chance on the piece of bush they fed into. Stalked our way within 70yds thru the timber onto him and his cows. Then my buddy called him into 20yds and I got a good shooting lane thru the timber and took the shot when his head was behind some trees. He stumbled after the shot and only went another 10 yds then went down, so the tracking was fairly easy. Gave him some time then the work started had around a 200yd pack out of the trees. PB for moose and got it done with the bow!. P&Y non offical 165 2/8" net
