Ice still on the lakes as per the ranger stations report from Friday May 20. They said they are not expecting it to be off well into June or even July. Of course they were right to say that it totally depends on the weather.

Sometimes you just have to take a deep breath, look around, and admire what mother nature gave us.
Went there on the weekend. Upper lake is still covered in ice. I checked by the boat launch and interlakes at the end of Smith Dorian. Lower lake has Ice on it by the Lower boat launch. Lower lake by the Interlakes has a big section of ice that is melted. Saw about 5 guys fishing, tried but had no luck.
