Biggest Fish Of 2017 (so far...)
Hi folks! I'm wanting to hear about your biggest fish so far for 2017! , mine is a 14 1/2 LB Bull Trout from Lower K. I will hopefully get the pic. up shortly. LETS HEAR EM!

Far smaller this year than last, best biggest was a 65# Halibut. (2016 265#+)

mine was a 22lb and change pike on a $10 fly rod i bought 15+ years ago,$20 fly line, 20lb mono and a rabbit fur fly. dam cheap outfit held its ground lol

Right- I forgot about the skate. Was a brute, fun to bring up from 220 feet. That would be the biggest this year. Had amazing eyes that animal.

Biggest fish of the year.
I have caught bigger fish this summer, but the one I liked best was a 6lb. 5 oz. smallmouth in B.C.

Kids and I have three 57" , a 54" and a 52" and a dozen other sturgeon in the 44-49" range the last 2 evenings. Insane !

Mine was pretty small this year - only a 38” 8 pound pike
Wife and little brother both got a 42” 16 pound pike
But i still have salmon fishing on wedded river in a couple weeks so may e that will get me up a bit higher! Hahah

42 5/8 northern pike from the North Saskatchewan river, I didn't have a scale but I reckon it was at least 20LBS, could have sworn it was a sturgeon until I saw the dorsal fin break the surface.

And here I was always lead to believe that the bigger the hook you used the bigger the fish you would catch. Hmmm hafta rethink another thing.
