how do you store your chainsaw?
Hey guys,
Just wondering how you store your chainsaws so they dont leak. if I sit my Husq flat, I always get a bit of bar oil leaking out.
Rather not drain it every time.. Did I get a defective one, or are these just like Harleys??

Have a husky. So does dad.
they both leak bar oil.
I find mine leaks less, if af all, if i keep it below half full.

Have 2 husky 61's one leaks other does not. It can be serviced to stop leak or as already mentioned one of your oil rags will solve problem. Lastly you can dump oil for long term storage, problem solved.

most leak, drain both tanks for long term storage.
make sure you fire them up every few months to keep the seals from drying out.
as most have said sit your saw on top of a cloth.

Mine is a Stihl. It leaks a little, but not more than a rag in the bottom of the case can handle.

I store mine in a safe with trigger locks. Theyre dangerous and if released in their own they can do great harm.

epic!!!! however I think you should go further and remove the chain to store separately and store your fuel in a separate container not easily broken into or a safe/vault designed for the storage of firearms-imean chainsaws!
