My big goals this year are getting my 12year old son his first moose and mrs. Huntin a big horn sheep. Maybe hunt white tail if the numbers look ok but I'm fine not folding a tag as long as I get time to hunt.

P9 for bull moose for me.
Took a good friend on his first hunting trip last year, got him hooked.
Did his courses through the winter, got a nice rifle.
Do some shooting this summer and hopefully a nice WT in the fall for him.

My goal this year, is to help a good friend to kill his first first elk. I am also looking forward to helping a couple who are good friends to get out, and shoot some pheasant. I will be 999ing most of my draws until 2015, when I retire.

If I'm proficient enough with my Atlatl by then I'll be hunting deer with it as well.

Just picked up a snider myself and was thinking about giving it a go for this fall. What do you use for brass and loads?

I fire form 24 gauge brass from mag tec- available from Will Bilozir.
I use several different loads, but the BP load i use is 75 grains of FFG, with the case topped up loose with rolled oats, and the bullet A single grease groove (weighing 450 grainsIIRC) bullet cast from the Lee mold placed on top and seated and crimped using CH dies.Priner is a Large rifle standard primer.

I have 11 days off in sept to try and put an elk down and maybe an archery mulie. Then hopefully close a tag on a bull moose and whitetail hunt as filler between and then full out in November. I can only hope for a goat or 438 draw.

Years priorities
To start I should draw my first bull moose tag for a Sirius down south + my mulie draw . Could get my cow elk but going to 999 that one . I will concentrate on my archery bull elk and hopefully get a nice velvet mulie scouting for the best moose, since Sirius are the smallest racked moose species I will be happy with anything over 40 in for my first one

Big plans this year! Starting on Wednesday, heading to Sask for a 3 day snow goose hunt, then we are heading back to Sask again in June for a bear hunt. I will run my baits here again as well. After that Ill be hitting sheep for opener, that's my main goal for the year, try and get off that <1 wild sheep list!
Then in Sept I am heading to northern BC for mountain caribou and mountain goat combo, cant wait!! losing sleep over it already.
Hopefully after all that is over ill just be moose / whitetail hunting October November.
Busy season ahead...

As many geese as possible, some ruffies, a decent whitetail buck but I'm not delusional to think it's gonna happen without the work i have to much else on the go, elk. Done

I'm hoping to draw for either/both deer in the Elbow Valley (406) this season. I love the area and am tired of just hunting grouse there! 999'ing moose and elk. I'm also hoping to get a spring bear.
If I can land a pipeline inspection job over summer, I'll buy a dual sport motorcycle in the fall, so that should mean grouse hunting every day after class!

Been working solid since mid Nov past, but my vacation starts in less then a month, spring bear and my cabin build are the plans.
Then more time at work from mid June to late Aug.
But after that, ahhh, only 15 days of work from Aug 27- Nov 4, lots of hunting.
P2 in our area should get me bull moose first season, of not Nov for 2nd choice.
General elk and WT goes without saying.
Also tired of letting grouse walk off while carrying the big stick, got a few pellet / BB pistols, I plan on packing one with me.

For me it's all about my son and daughters first hunting seasons, all my efforts will be for them, but if opportunity knocks I won't be afraid to take it.

First year ever hunting for me too. Just a decent whitey will do, plus as many birds as I have time/opportunity for, which will not be much this year.

If I have 1 goal this year, then that 1 goal is to find where that 5x5 WT buck that shows up on the trail camera from between 9:00pm to 5:00am hides out during the day. I have an idea now where he might hide during the day but until I get to scout the area I won't know for sure.

My season's big goal- taking a mule buck with my bow. Then a solid whitetail and possibly a bear or two while I'm at it.
Thought about going for Moose, but I want to focus on archery for this fall and see what I can get before wasting my rifle priority on a Moose.

My goal will be to get an animal for meat. I'm not into trophy hunting etc yet so just about anything will do. Was skunked last year so I think this will be my lucky year!

It took me 30 straight years of hunting to decide to try for a bigger rack buck for this coming season. lol I am going for the meat too but I simply want to change it up this coming season. It might take me 3 weekends to find this bucks day time hide out but I will get him.
Like I said in a PM to you, you just need to meet up with me.

If my nephew is drawn for bull moose then uncle will be his guide, hope to get dad close enough to a good wt. I myself am going to try and put a moose on the ground with my old compound bow during the rut. Go on a goose hunt with dad nephew and take my 5 year old son this should be interesting.... Thinking of buying a side by side to take the family out more a 5 ,3 and 1 year olds take alot of work to take hunting but its worth it.
