Default This is the mainstrem of athab

In the main stem of Athabasca the large females are in prespawn feed mode pushed up in to shallow bays and back eddies where slack water is adjacent to a fast moving run , if you do target them take great care in handling them please bring long forceps and jaw spreads they usually take the fly deep but if you stay barbless it's usually very easy to unhook them with good long pair of forceps
