Great way of keeping the lake to yourself and being a Douche! Sherburne has been a good fishery for as long as ive known it and been hit hard and still doing fine. Its all about conservation and having fun. You dont have to keep your limit every time, leave some fish for our future generations, do your part and all the "DEAD" alberta lakes will be just fine.

It can be a tough lake to figure out but once you get the times to fish and what to use down you will have some real good days. It won't always be a for sure thing but most of the time you can get into some good fish if you narrow down a few major details.

A few years ago I was really frustrated with that lake and just kept putting in time until I figured out what would work. Every time I go now I start out with what was working last trip and go from there.

I've checked out the depth charts I can find and so far I've tried in ~12 fow, ~20 fow and the deep water off the boat launch. Nothing. So I guess the first thing to figure out would be the depth? I'm not sure cause in the little lake I've been going to for perch I'm catching them in the 10-20 foot range. So I'm not sure.

Time of day is a huge factor in that lake.

Those Sherburne perch sure are tastey!! Can't wait to go back to the "fish funnel" as my gps says and have once again another great day of fishing with my buddies! Should probably wait a few days though, my hand is still sore from all the high fives

Yup...

Also, If your not finding fish, don't stick around. In order to catch perch you need to find them. Every day is different.
