Default Whitetail Deer Hunting Tips in the Lakeland

With the coming of colder weather a hunter starts to think of the monster bucks that inhabit Alberta's Lakeland region. Each year booners are taken in the district from the farm country of St. Paul to the boreal forests of the Cold Lake area. This can be the hunters toughest decision - where to hunt? Hunters who get off the beaten path are often rewarded with trophy racked monsters that they'll remember for a lifetime. And, if you get one big enough you could pick up some great prizes at one of the many big buck contests in the region. Rattling horns is a great option at this time of year. The bucks get into the rut and will come with reckless abandon with the sound of two bucks fighting. Find a scrape line with fresh scrapes and set up inside the bush line out of site and get ready for an outdoor adventure of a lifetime. The St. Paul- Elkpoint region offers a wonderful mix of hay fields and river bottoms with many rolling hills where the big bucks inhabit. Scout these areas making a plan to set up for a morning hunt along a travel route or feeding area. The northern part of the region offers classic whitetail habitat that harbors true giants of the forest. Set up on cutlines along travel routes between saddle areas to connect with the big ones. The area offers exceptional accomodations where out of town hunters can set up a base for there wilderness adventures. Every hunter enjoys a hot meal after a cold day afield along with entertainment being offered in the many communities in the area. Always consult the Alberta hunting regulations for up to date regulations in the area your hunting and please get permission to access private land. Get out and enjoy the best whitetail hunting in the province in Alberta's Lakeland .
