Ive only used Varget, Winchester 760 and IMR 4064 with a .243

Start midway between min and max loads. Work a bit up and a bit low from there. See what your gun likes!

Good luck with load tuning!

IMR4831 works better with larger(90 grain+) bullets according to Ken Waters book. Go to the IMR website for specific loads

Can you recommend a bullet that works good with H4831

Quickload is suggesting 45 grains of H4831 with a 95 grain Nosler CT bullet.
This yields 2994 fps, and a fill rate of 102.9 percent.
I cannot, and will be responsible for this load, in yours, or anyone elses rifle.
Presure is stated at 53791 psi. Well below the 60191 max listed.

Not hot at all. Start slower and work up. Or consider changing powder.

I shoot enough H4831 in Lapua cases behind Berger VLD's to get me 2950 fps with plenty of breathing room. There may be better powders that will gain a few fps but I have enough of the H4831 to burn out a barrel and it is an accurate load.

And yes I have several reloading manuals.

I do have two manuals ,they just don't give any loads for H4831.
Was going to stick with Hornaty Bullets maybe 95gr. sounds like the bergers might be the way to go

The following loads are published in the Hodgdon 25th edition Manual using H4831. start at the bottom

80 grain bullet--minimum 44 grains, maximum 48 grains
90 grain bullet--same as above
100 grain bullet--minimum 44 grains, maximum 46 grains

Thanks leo
I picked up some Hornaty 87 v max and some 105 match bullets.
My Hornady book did not show these loads at all .
