I want to get a fish on the leader board early,might be the only time I have a lead. I have this week off,the plan was to do the Camp Wainwright hunt then fish the rest of the week. The temp. is -30 with a wind chill of -45,can't see getting off the couch today.

I got off the couch when it warmed up to -23. Hit the lake for a couple hours. Caught a good walleye to get the derby started.

IMO any body of water that is regulated under the regulations should count. That means rivers and lakes. Should clarify.

*RULE CLARIFICATION*
Regarding the river thing, I was chatting with AJ about this.
Rivers ARE acceptable (hard water is hard water), but please submit a picture showing clearly that you are ice-fishing and not open-water fishing (ice shack in background, hole in ice, etc).
So the burb WOULD be acceptable if they had also posted a picture with an ID card and measurements along with their picture showing they were 'ice fishing'.
100% sure that fish would have held the top burb for the season too, beauty fish.

I have read the entire thread and seen how this 'derby' has all developed online..today is Dec. 12 and i see no posts of anyones fish on the thread. How come?
I thought of what the grand fishing prize could be for any fish caught during the derby that breaks the biggest provincial record fish for that species.
simple rule. If no one catches a fish that breaks the provincial record for that species, then there is no prize awarded.
And the winners prize would be:
They get to be a moderator on the AO Fishing Forum for a year.
