Default Looking for a cannon, a Biggie

So, during WWll, the Brits sent a spare 16 " rifle off a battleship, to Suffield for research purposes. It either fell off the rail car, or was abandoned because there was no equipment capable of moving it. It lay along the tracks for years, I saw it there in the 60s.. I've been told unreliably, that it was moved up to the base. Since I may be going that way, I'd like to see the old girl again. anybody here have a clue where it ended up ? If I were lucky enough to get some pictures I'd share them.

A little off the topic of the where the big gun went but if you have an interest in old cannons and like searching... two cannons were buried near Rocky mountain house in the early 1800's. In the 1840s or 50s the Hudson's Bay company sent men to retrieve the cannons but they couldn't locate them using the map they had. The map is probably in the Hudson's Bay Archives in Winnipeg.

I used to know a guy who thinks it’s on his land, unfortunately because of his health we won’t be looking.

This one is a lot like the gold on Oak Island, very mysterious and maybe a legend. I've considered the possibilities.

There's one on the base in a building. Can't remember the number. Seen it years ago.

There was some pretty good supporting information going along with this dudes story. It’s Sad that I didn’t make it out there.

I remember clearly seeing that big gun laying there, likely in the early seventies. Hadn’t really thought about it since until seeing this thread. Now you have me wondering.
