Awesome trip report Amber!

Looks like you got hooked up with a good guide crew, and caught many good looking fish!

I know you both are hardcore anglers, but sleeping with rods in your bed?!?! That is dedication!

Thanks for posting!

Ya I cant wait to get to Jamies Salmon Lodge! I've never used a mooching reel either. The dorodos gave good fights but the baracudas were nearly getting dragged across the surface. I won't know for sure for another 3 months but I bet the fresh Salmon will give a bigger fight then anything Ive caught to this day.

Great story and pics! Dorado are awesome to catch, super powerful. When you pull them in the boat they can sure thrash around

Great description of a great trip, thank you so much for sharing with us! I appreciate the detailed reports of a type of fishing so foreign to me. Your write up makes me want to look into trying that some day.

i learned not to pre-judge based upon the transportation in Cuba as well
we hired a guy of the street to take us on a tour of Havana; while it might not be the mode of choice for many, we got to experience what few tourists are privileged to.

as usual, great report, and thanks for making me want to go back there...
cheers
