Exactly, so if you intentionally have a loaded firearm in or on a motor vehicle, you are guilty of an offense. If it happened totally accidentally, that might be an acceptable defense.

You (should) know as well as I do, it refers to the intent to "knowingly break the law".

Given the fact that you know that specific law exists, that is.
