Default Clearwater River

The river is at it's lowest water level now. The run off from the mounatins is
a month away. In places there is high banks of ice on the shore line. In
places one can wade it. Good time to catch big browns.
Have fun.

Was there 2 weeks ago, river was low. No action that day. Let us know how you do.

Mudder......

The Clearwater is not clear. Above the Prairie Creek confluence there was less than 18" visibility and below Prairie Creek, it fell to about 6".
Yesterday downstream of the Highway # 54 bridge it was quite off-colour as well.
With the very slow spring, it may not clear till the mountain run-off is finished in mid-July.
At this point it is not worth the effort.
Well up into the foothills the river might still be fishable.
