Bighorn Proposal Petition here
Fellow outdoorsmen, below is the link for the petition against the Bighorn Porposal put forward by the NDP. If your enjoy public lands as they are you need to sign this if you haven’t.
https://www.change.org/p/keep-public...lic-in-alberta
Here is also a picture from the “public consultation” in Rocky last night posted by a member on This is my Nordegg face book group. It shows some of the ideas for proposed infrastructure the NDP is looking at for the area.
Please distribute this to anybody you can think of.
Edit: apologies for the quality of the picture, it’s a screen shot with my phone and not sure why it’s so blurry. Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...1545918&type=3

Signed. Good luck with saving the Big Horn. I have never been but hope for open use for EVERYONE for years to come, I just moved to Cowtown for a backfill position and plan to head out there with the Old DR650 when summer comes and poke around.

Signed!
I am not much for signing On-line petitions but felt that this one warranted the effort. All one can hope for is a change in the political landscape in the near future...

And you have the confidence that there will be a new government in Deadmonton soon? I hope you are right but I highly doubt it...

35,000 signed as of today. Thanks everybody for the shares. Sorry been spending a lot of time on Facebook. There tends to be a more diverse range of people to reach out to. I could sure use some help on the This is my Nordegg page, lots of people starting good conversation and asking questions.

Please help keep this going. The goal of 25,000 signatures is almost there. The word is getting around, but it not anywhere near enough.

It's funny how no one cared about the castle b.s. when it went down, but when it's in there backyard, now all of a sudden it's a big deal!

Why is that your gonna play that card? If I had known about I’d be doing the same exact thing as I’m doing with the BH proposal. Maybe it’s my fault for not following your every move. But as a matter of fact I do, and would have cared. I stumbled upon this proposal on Facebook by accident. Just because somebody isn’t aware does not mean they don’t care.
That’s a great attitude you have got there.

you should do a little research on this forum about the castle and see how many liked the idea of a park.

The castle was a raw deal. The NDP pulled a classic bait and switch on the people in the south. I get it. It’s nobodys fault to want to believe in a democratic government. At the surface the BH seems like a good thing too. It’s only when you invest the time to review some of the facts that you see the truth behind it all. We also have the advantage of previous experience to see how conniving they truly are. I don’t need to do a search, I believe you, but fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I’m not prepared to let them do this to Albertans again. And guess what, when the NDP are gone and the UCP is in, I’ll be fighting them against the sale of “unproductive land” up North. We need to be united or we’ll end up with nothing.

Does anybody pick up a paper anymore? No I don’t watch the news, haven’t had cable in years, when I’m in camp I get the corrupt CBC on AM radio. I read what comes up on my news feed on my phone bud. That’s pretty much it. Didn’t know this was relevant to the cause at hand?
