Default Help replacing shaft on MinnKota

I am going to try and replace my cracked 60" Minn kota Terrova shaft. 80lbs 2007. Just picked up the parts. Any tips????

I shortened a shaft on an eduro was not that hard just fitting wires back in head is tough just take your time GOOD LUCK

when reattaching wires, or just beforehand, look at the wires and consider how you might cut them at different spots, rather than at same length, so you don't have the new joins at same spot, thus leaving you more room to fit it all, ie u wont have a big ball at one point, just two joins that are smaller and apart from each other, heard this idea before when guys put on new longer shafts for Minnkota PDs etc., hope it helps

Done. It wasn't bad at all. Less than two hours, didn't have to cut any wires , just disconnect them.

LOL Your welcome! But i really goota say I didnt do anything but give a bit of advice and provide you with the parts and a schematic! LOL what you gonna do with the $350 you saved doing it yourself? Hint: I like bud light lime! LMAO Im kidding have fun and good for you! Trevor
