Great picture, H380! That white one over your young fella's right shoulder really stands out.

I took my coyotes in today but between re-hydrating and sewing a few that ripped down by the base of the tail, cleaning a couple with borax, and taking pictures of the front and back of each one, I completely forgot about taking a picture of all of them together. I wish that I have of, I forgot all about it until seeing this thread.

Nice bunch of coyotes H380

I don't have enough fur to make it worth the trip to drop any off for this sale. On the bright side I'll get that barn shot of a season catch I want.

That's too bad you forgot Dave. You had some nice pics last year.

Nice bunch of coyotes. The light coloured one (6th from the left) caught my eye. It would be interesting to see how it grades.

That #6 coyote has a story , interesting to see you and tankdog picked her out . I have always had my best results with the first sale and she and another exactly like her were caught last year after the first go round so I kept one and sold one just to see how things would go with them . The one I shipped sold for $80 on the last sale in the spring . See what happens here , she definitely stands out .

Hey guys, missed my opportunity to get my furs to Westlock for Monday, but from the sounds of things it wasn't worth it to send my rats anyways. Should I wait and see if it is any good and send them next auction or bag them up and freeze them for the long run? Sorry for the derail H380, just seemed like an appropriate place to ask a quick question regarding sending furs in. Thank you
Nick

dropped these off yesterday. had a good visit.

fly trapper, in the spring. send your rats(and what ever else you've got) in, with a note. asking to hold until next winters sale. let them store it for you.

Not a derail at all flytrapper , I sent my rats .. all 4 of em ..lol . Glad to have you aboard in the trapping game . My son recently got his licence and I'm looking forward to having him snare with me .

Nice catch braggadoe, gotta love those fluffy white dogs .I was at Martys just before you , he said some one was coming from the Pass , the roads sure cleared up between me getting there and leaving . Your coyotes look good and clean well prepared . I was a little surprised at a guys catch that he dropped off ahead of me, unbrushed , full of dried blood and dirt . Wasnt a pretty sight and they were joking that some of them would be top lots .

Quite a difference in the light coloured southern yotes and the browner northern coyotes eh? I'm farther north than you Drake and I get about 50/50 of each. I like the colours of the third one to your left in the picture.....Nice!

Drake- nice haul and I love the pic.

Braggadoe- I think that's the nicest bunch of coyotes I've seen a pic of yet.

couple of fellas on facebook where talking about mange/mites in the southern ab dogs and would rather catch the dark dogs up north.

last year i caught one with a bad wound(smelled real bad) that i didn't process. but i've never caught any with mange or shoulder mites(knock on wood). and don't ever hear of other local guys getting them. could be around i guess, but very few to none.

very nice fur around here. not sure i could catch anything if there where trees around. wouldn't know what to do.

I'm sure I would spend a lot of time wandering around looking for a place to hang a snare if there were no trees. Mange and lice have been bad so far this year and I've had to pitch a few already. Hopefully I get a run of nice ones to make up for it. It's been about 20 percent on a small sample.

Guys not to derail but I thought December 15th was last day to submit our fur for NAFA sale. Just back from trapline and wanted to put my marten in early sale?
