Caught in a net and stands there like he reeled it in himself
Can't even say "nice fish" for one caught in a net. I mean I guess you could, but I won't.

What a waste. It's too bad that beauty was removed from the lake with a net. Netting is such a joke.

Im sure if it was caught while angling it still would have been removed from the lake, so either way it would have died.

Oh you guys should see the s@&t storm going around on FaceBook among a few different pages on this one !!

I have my huge doubts that this fish is real, but holy! - some guys get pretty uptight about things!

Heres what I have gathered so far:

-It was netted 2 years ago
-It was NOT netted
-It was caught yesterday at Joussard
-There has been three different weights reported between 16 and 18.7 lbs
-It was weighed on an "old sh##ty spring scale" so its not accurate
-The guys who caught it are good ol boys who don't care about breaking a Provincial record
-It was released
-It was caught on Great Slave Lake
-It was caught in Sask

.

Default Huge Walleye

Regardless of the particulars it is good to know that double digit fish are still out there in accessible places and available to the average angler in Western Canada even Alberta.

Yup its like that huge 380 8x8 bull elk buddy came accross and took an amazing pic of it with one of Jasper's hotels in the background. LOL

I think its a troll because the fishing atound there has been pretty slow last couple years so it would be real easy to gain some attention by saying you caught a trophy like that even the caption " theres still hope yet " supports my theroy. Added with the fact that this would be a new prov record by over a pound its pretty much busted
