Looks like one hell of a hunt! Great pictures, thanks for sharing. I wish I liked goat or sheep meat, I could definitely get into this! Maybe I'll have to try to find some to photograph.

Redfrog, I've had domesticated goat and sheep before in a lot of different areas of the world and haven't enjoyed it. Some of them were raised in pretty close to wild conditions, including Tanzania and Inner Mongolia. I could be wrong, but I'd assumed their wild counterparts would be similar.

Well W/S I've never had mongolian goats, but I have had B.C. Goat and Bighorn Sheep and I'd hunt them for the meat.

Do wild goat and sheep have similar flavors to domestic in your experience?

No they don't.
I do like domestic lamb and some curried goat dishes but wild is different.

I've pretty much eaten any kind of North american game and I think sheep is best then elk, moose etc. The goats I've had were like venison.

I found the Goat a bit tough. And I'd say bit gamey like venison.

Found a couple monster Cedars. They are big old trees for sure.

Good pictures goat hunting always has some adventures in it.
You keep saying your buddys goat so I take it he's a B.C. resident or were you on a guided hunt.
