For summer hikes and early season hunts I use the Vasque Summit GTX. I like them overall, but have seen reviews online where people have complained about the Vibram sole cracking - this hasn't happened to me and I'm going on my fourth season with them.

For late season hunts I use a Cabelas brand tall boot. I don't recall the exact name but they are 1200 gram insulation. Guaranteed for life too.

North face hikers for the rest of the year (surprised i am on my fifth season with these gems)
and a pair of 200 gram elk trackers.

all but the rubbers are gortex construction.

Irish Setter Elk Trackers or hanwag hiking boots. Depends of whether you have wide feet or not.

I have Under Armour Speed Freaks. They feel like running shoes with grip and the support that a boot should have. They don't have any insulation to them but in the cooler weather while walking, down to about -10*c, the Redhead socks make the boots very good.

I'll second the under armor speed freaks. I don't do mountain hunting, but I do a lot of walking out in the river coulees and they're awesome!

I wear Scarpa GTX backpacking boots here in the Kootenays. They fit me perfectly and are unbelievably waterproof. Full grain leather backed by goretex with a full rand makes for one tough boot.
