Default Pine Marten Photos....

Was lucky enough the other day to come across a Pine Marten while out looking for things to photograph. He was very curious which allowed me quite a few shots. I'm sure there are a number of people on here that have seen one in the wild, but decided to post a few, for those of us that never have!

Great shots. Looks like you got a willing model for sticking around and giving you a few great poses that you captured really well. Very Nice and thanks for posting these.

I have seen a few in the bush, but had zero opportunities to photograph one.
I am soooooo jealous.

Amazing shots BTW

Nice dark marten, should go over $100 when boarded, opps was suppose to appreciate the beauty of the little $100 bill.

Thumbs up

Very nice pics and sometimes you just don't appreciate how good looking they are cuz they are usually a blur and disappear.

Amazing pics!

I've always wondered how critters like that keep their fur so clean in an environment dripping with tree sap.

Cute little guy. If anyone has a breeding pair drop them off in High River. The squirrel population is out of control and the car tires are just not putting enough pressure on their population.

Nice shots. Sure cute little animal. Was out hunting by Grande Cache 20 years ago. Walking for couple hours. Stopped for a drink of water. Little Martin came out of old deadfall. Was chirping at me to leave. Must have had some little ones nearby. I continued on.

Beautiful shots

Only saw one on the run on the trapline, one at a good course and that’s it

Very lucky to get one staying still.

I'm shooting a Nikon D7500 DSLR and the lens is the Nikon 200-500mm f5.6

Thanks for the kind words, I'm just excited to be able find one and get a few pics.

Thanks for the great photos!
I've seen those beautiful animals several times while backpacking & hunting.
On the bottom photo I could even smell the pine needles!
