Default Edmonton Area Lake for boat test

Morning,

Had some issues with my boat last time out, but I think i've got it running okay again. However, the issue I was having was getting full power to get up on plane and obviously you can't really test that with some ear muffs and a hose on your driveway.

I need to have it running strong, as we're taking it on our honeymoon in BC in a couple weeks.

Any ideas where there's a close lake I can take it for a rip and make sure she's running strong again? Couldn't care less about how the fishing is, just would rather not have to drive an hour just to test it out.

FYI - Boat is a 17.5 foot with a 90 outboard.

Thanks

Sandy Lake is really close. Maybe others can chime in, I haven't been out there for years.

Sandy was pretty dried up when I drove through town last year, at least on the north side of the highway where we used to launch our boat
