Monster buck. Always glad to hear of people getting animals like this by showing persistence and patience. I like to see hard work rewarded.

Congrats! Any idea on what he scores?

Special indeed, its a real challenge to find a mature wt in the big bush with the wolf explosion. Congrates! You were hunting big stands of aspen?

Bigfeet and I have been doing this whitetail trip for many years and for quite some time luck seemed to favour me. This year seemed like a reversal of fortune and I couldn't be happier about it. This deer has it all! Height, width, mass, dark chocolate antlers and to top it off a cool 6" plus droptine. It was amazing to be part of this hunt and it couldn't happen to a more deserving guy!

Well...you are correct. It does have it all. I love those chocolate bucks..they always look the best. He's got junk, a drop...all kinds of character.

Oh yeah...and HE'S BIG!

Congrats on a dam fine buck. One of the best I have seen this year..and that is a pretty high standard for a personal best!

Huge congrats. Let's hope he bred a bunch of does before you got to him! That's an incredible feat.
It's funny how the theme in most of the big trophy stories this year (and most years) is persistence. Guys have been rewarded big time for grinding it out. I am really happy for you.

Thanks for sharing your story, BigFeet. That buck is definitely a wall hanger. Ive always said that if my first "archery" buck is big, he's going on the wall...and guess what...I got one this year and he's at the taxidermist. Your buck has it all...color, mass, length, points, and a drop tine to boot. When there's a great story to go along with harvest, Im thinking he needs to be on the wall. Well done.
