I see that mikuakee is making bib overalls now.
I haven't seen a pair in real life, but they might be something to look at.

I like my Tough Duck from UFA, not bibs, but they make them. I just have the insulated coveralls but I’d wager they’re as good as anything else and price was right.

I am in the same boat.

You have to figure in the application. Down is good for sitting like ice fishing but not good for hiking in.
Where are you walking, as some light nylon exteriors won't take the beating in the bushes and brambles that the heavier materials can.

The weight factor?
Can they be rolled up in your pack or are you working on a farm or oil derrick?

Down vs gortex vs wool vs water resistant vs wind resistance.

I am leaning towards the ice fishing application; lots of sitting exposed to not too harsh of weather.

I am curious to see some responses.

Thanks in advance....

I want the warmest possible I’ll be using them on my trapline, somewhat water proof and wind resistant is a must

The warmest bibs/coveralls that I’ve owned are Helly Hansen Thompson. They aren’t cheap, but the last pair of HH coveralls I bought used/like new for $180.

I just put in an order for Truewerk T4 bibs. Waterproof and incorporated kneepads. I have other truewerk stuff for work and it has been excellent. Bonus atm they have a 25% off everything at checkout with a code. I believe the code is ALLWERK

Carhartt bibs with Helly Hanson long underwear is my winter goto for just about all my winter activities. The helly long undies usually only come out when temps are -30 or colder.

I agree. I have the Thompson from when I was doing snow removal in an open skid steer. The jacket and bibs were a game changer. Warm and no wind through them.

50% off is a good discount I’ve never had any of the guidewear so I have no idea on how warm they are.
