Default What a day

So after spending all morning in court in Lethbridge, I am driving home to Calgary. I'm doing a buck 20 in the left lane an. Just ahead of me in the right lane is a picker truck. A grain shovel flies off the truck headed straight for me. I slam on the binders and swerve to avoid it. I end up doing a couple 360's on the QEII and end up on the shoulder on my side. I was sure the shovel was coming into my windshield but luckily it only hit the top of my car. I could have just as easily rolled the car too.
I guess I wasn't alone in the car after all.

Truckers...... Please double check your loads and tools are secured.

Again I'm glad your safe and at home.

It was a last minute decision this morning to not ride my motorbike down. Good call.

Yikes! I had a similar thing happen once...but with a recliner; and it was a smaller road, so it was only at 80 km/h. I was totally unimpressed. guy figured he didn't need to tie down a lazyboy that was just barely hanging onto his tailgate (which was down).

Glad you're still with us.

Spooky. Nobody likes seeing that.

Couple years back the folks had a snipe bounce off a winch tractor in front of them. Trucking company bought the front end of a Porsche, lucky it wasn't a foot higher.

Did he just keep going or did he stop? Huge difference on what insurance is going to say/do. Were there witnesses?

The truck stopped and we exchanged info. I got a call from the company an hour later. They are stepping up and taking full responsibilty. 3 quotes and they will cut me a check.
